These animal shots are amazing and so intimate feeling. You get to see a perspective of that animal that feels personal and not "sugar coated" or fake. They feel a bit eerie, almost sinister to me because of the dark lighting and things like the expression of the monkey and how the snake is eating the mouse. Even with the boy looking through the glass, his reflection staring back at him in the photo adds to that mood.
